The UFC Middleweight division of recent times has been much maligned and has suffered more then any other in terms of appeal to the fans. The antics of Champion Anderson Silva, who stands head and shoulders above his peers but refuses to display his full arsenal of dazzling skills has not helped. There has not been an entertaining middleweight title fight since UFC 82 back in 2008.
